‘I almost denied the song,’ singer Lawrence Oyor reacts to Bobrisky’s viral dance to ‘Favour’
Nigerian gospel artist Lawrence Oyor has expressed his surprise at the viral video of popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, dancing to his hit song “Favour.”
In a recent sermon, Oyor shared his surprise at seeing Bobrisky, a figure known for his controversial presence on the internet, enjoying his music.
The singer admitted that the sight of Bobrisky dancing along to “Favour” was a moment of disbelief which made him almost deny the song.
Oyor said, “I saw one of our guys, the most unexpected guy on the internet, singing ‘Favour.’ I almost denied the song.
“I know some of you didn’t see it, but I don’t know how it got to me—someone sent it. I saw Bob, a very risky Bob, singing ‘Favour he surrounds me like a shield.’
“I had to watch it three times, the shock! You too? And he said that song is the summary of the message. I have never doubted myself like that before. How? Like I told you last week, something is happening.”
The video initially posted on Instagram showed Bobrisky dancing along to Oyor’s hit track.
In his caption, Bobrisky expressed his gratitude for God’s favour, sharing how he has been shown mercy countless times.
He further mentioned that despite undergoing seven surgeries he still maintains a fresh and healthy appearance.
