Mark 4:35 KJV.
“And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side”.
*MESSAGE.*
☆☆☆ When Jesus said to His disciples “let us cross over to the other side”, he wanted to take them through a transition.
☆☆☆ Today the Holy Spirit wants us to experience the same transition.
☆☆☆ The “other side” represents the God given destiny for man.
☆☆☆ It represents the plan and purpose of God for man.
☆☆☆ Get set as God is prepared to take you over to the other side of life.
☆☆☆ Now that you have crossed over into the new year, please note the following 7 steps which I believe will help you in moving to your God given destiny.
1. FOLLOW THE RIGHT LEADER.*
☆☆☆ When Jesus said “let us cross over”, he was implying that the disciples must follow his example while crossing over to the other side.
☆☆☆ Jesus was always leading while the disciples followed.
☆☆☆ Jesus was always leading his disciples by example.
☆☆☆ The pattern is the same today. Always learn to follow the right leader.
☆☆☆ The right leader is not concerned about himself but about those he is leading.
☆☆☆ A right leader will pay special attention to the welfare of the led.
☆☆☆ Learn to commit your ways into the hand of God and he will surely direct your path.
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” – Psalm 37:5.
☆☆☆ God is the only one who knows where you are going and how to take you there.
*2. LEAVE THE MULTITUDE BEHIND.*
☆☆☆ The disciples left the multitude behind and followed Jesus.
☆☆☆ They left the comfort of the crowd because they wanted to be part of something bigger and better.
☆☆☆ The multitude’s mentality is that of mediocrity and negativity.
☆☆☆ The mentality that the multitude is “always right” is an error.
☆☆☆ The multitude is more concerned about conformity than commitment.
☆☆☆ It is not easy to be different and go after something better than the norm.
☆☆☆ But then, learn to stand alone with God and you will experience his manifestations.
“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day” – Genesis 32:24.
☆☆☆ Step out of your comfort zone beloved, leave the multitude mentality behind and stand alone with God.
*3. GET INTO THE BOAT*
.
☆☆☆ The boat is a vessel that enables you to do something you could not do with your own ability.
☆☆☆ The disciples had a physical boat but Jesus is the spiritual boat that every man willing to survive the storms of life will need.
☆☆☆ You need to fellowship in a church that can connect you with this boat through the Word of God.
☆☆☆ A church where people’s gift can be released to expand God’s kingdom.
☆☆☆ Go to the church that has Jesus right in the middle of it.
☆☆☆ Go to a church where they preach Jesus, worship Jesus, follow Jesus and live according to the teachings of Jesus.
☆☆☆ Remember, when Abraham was to make a sacrifice unto God, God said he would lead him to a particular mountain.
“And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering *upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.* – Genesis 22:2.
☆☆☆ Ask God to lead you to a church where you will be fulfilled spiritually.
☆☆☆ It is time to get into the right boat.
*4. WATCH YOUR CONFESSIONS.*
☆☆☆ The disciples of Jesus saw the storm and they began to declare that they were going to perish.
☆☆☆ Yet Jesus had said they were going to the “other side” not “under side”.
☆☆☆ The disciples were contradicting the words of Jesus.
☆☆☆ Beloved, you must watch what you declare, particularly during the storms of life.
☆☆☆ Remember to say what God says about a situation and not what that situation wants you to say.
☆☆☆ Always find a promise in the word of God to believe and stand upon.
■ ■ ■ Remember, God said 👇
“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” – Numbers 14:28.
☆☆☆ Even in those negative situations, let your confessions be positive.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” – Philippians 4:13.
*5. LEARN HOW TO HANDLE THE STORM.*
☆☆☆ Water was filling the boat during the storm.
☆☆☆ The situation was getting worse and Jesus was fast asleep.
☆☆☆ What do you do when the Saviour is seemingly silent!
☆☆☆ God is not shaken when the storm hits you.
☆☆☆ However, God expects you to do what the disciples did.
☆☆☆ They invited Jesus who rebuked the wind and calmed the storm.
☆☆☆ The wind represents the unseen forces while the waves represent the seen forces.
☆☆☆ Beloved, not every storm is caused by the devil.
☆☆☆ God may allow you to experience a storm to check your faith.
☆☆☆ However, every situation of life requires spiritual warfare.
☆☆☆ Jesus has the answer to every situation of life.
■ ■ ■ In a marriage in Cana of Galilee, the wine finished and Jesus was invited 👇
“And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine” – John 2:3.
■ ■ ■ When Lazarus was sick to the point of death, Jesus was also invited 👇
“Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha”.
[3] “Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick” – John 11:1, 3.
☆☆☆ Learn to invite Jesus, the master of all situations and circumstances.
*6. ALLOW YOUR FAITH TO GROW.*
☆☆☆ Jesus said to the disciples 👇
_”And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? – Mark 4:40._
☆☆☆ Beloved, don’t allow the storms of life to steal your faith and prevent you from reaching your God given destiny.
☆☆☆ Get to know Jesus during your quiet times, before the evil day, so that you can trust him during the storms of life.
☆☆☆ Gain strength from the word of God on a daily basis.
☆☆☆ Remember, by faith your mountains shall move 👇
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” – Mark 11:23.
**7. DESIRE TO TAKE OVER*
☆☆☆ The forces of life will always want to prevent you from achieving your goals.
☆☆☆ However, remember that God has better plans for you on the other side.
☆☆☆ You cannot know better than the one who knows the end of a thing from its beginning.
☆☆☆ Don’t be too comfortable in your present zone, aim higher.
☆☆☆ Trust Jesus and rely on his promises.
☆☆☆ He has crossed you over into the new year, it is now time for you to take over.
☆☆☆ Believe in your dreams, trust the process; it will surely end in praise.
