How Asue Ighodalo Helped Tinubu During His Tenure As Lagos Governor

In a significant moment in Nigeria’s political history, Asue Ighodalo played a pivotal role in shaping Lagos State’s economic landscape during President Bola Tinubu’s tenure as governor.

This was disclosed by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central). Speaking at campaign events in Akoko-Edo, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized Ighodalo’s impressive track record, which began when Tinubu appointed him as part of his team to re-engineer Lagos’ economy. She credited Ighodalo with being instrumental in turning Lagos into one of Nigeria’s most economically viable states.

“Ighodalo was a key figure in transforming Lagos when President Tinubu was governor. His expertise contributed to making Lagos an economic powerhouse. With his leadership, I am confident Edo could compete with Lagos and become just as economically prosperous,” Akpoti-Uduaghan stated. Advertisements Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, is vying for the top position alongside his running mate, Omorodion Ogie.

The senator’s appeal was particularly aimed at the Ebira people and other ethnic groups in Edo, as she encouraged them to back Ighodalo for a better future. She reminded voters that politics should be about securing progress and development, not merely a game of competition. Akpoti-Uduaghan’s endorsement highlights Ighodalo’s potential to replicate his success in Lagos for Edo State, a move that could significantly elevate the state’s economic status in Nigeria.
