House of Assembly Orlu LGA: Zoning Sacrosanct Stakeholders reply Udenwa, Okolie.
Following the recent publication in Eastern Lead express newspaper, on Wenesday 10 August, 2022, with the caption ” 2023 IMHA: Orlu LGA Finally Wakes Up From Slumber?, the Topmost Leaders of Orlu LGA, have dissociated themselves from the said publication, while declaring such news as baseless and a contrived effort by a section of myopic and selfish leaders to cause disunity among the two clans in Orlu LGA.
This was revealed, during an interactive session with Journalists in Owerri by Topmost Leaders of Orlu LGA.
Speaking at the seession, the General Secretary of Orlu Topmost Leaders Forum, Dr Emeka Enyinnia,Ph.D,(Ishibude of Umuna) stressed the need to maintain the existing charter of equity which is hinged on rotation between Orsu and Isu clans of Orlu LGA.
The position of His Excellency Achike Udenwa and other so called Leaders of Orlu is without the consent of critical stakeholders in Orlu LGA and therefore is condemned in its entirety. The issue of ranking in the State Assembly is just a smokescreen to hoodwink the good people of Orlu.
For the records Hon Max Odunze,from Isu, was a Principal officer during his one tenure.Hon Jerry Alagboso of PDP, currently at the House of Reps for the third time has never achieved a Principal officer ranking and so failed to use his chances for the good of Orlu. It therefore means that it has nothing to do with ranking.
Dr Enyinnia noted that, Hon Paschal Okolie has shown a woeful representation at the State Assembly. He is not people friendly and has alienated himself from Orlu people.
“His docility,lack of reach, ineptitude and instability have made him a baggage carrier in the house without impact. Hence ,cannot be trusted by Orlu people to continue in non performance”
The Stakeholders affirmed that it is the turn of Isu clan and Hon Bar Dr Ikenna Martins Ihezuo is primed to represent the State Constituency . Dr Ihezuo is a constitutional lawyer, a business man, a philanthropist, a grass root politician and posseses the capacity,reach and adequate training to represent Orlu people effectively. Hon Paschal Okolie has wasted our time in learning, according to him, and has been declared a failure. We need a prepared candidate ready to hit the ground running at the first whistle. And Hon Ihezuo is ready”
By this publication, the public and entire Orlu people are advised to disregard the said publication and warn Hon Paschal Okolie to go and bury his face in shame as he is brandishing non performance and docility as virtues.
For His Excellency, Udenwa,we advise him,as an elder statesmeman, to maintain peace in Orlu by sticking to the age long gentleman’s agreement between Orsu and Isu clan of Orlu LGA. Anything short of that is a recipe for chaos and anarchy.
