Destiny sometimes can be delayed, but one good thing about it, is that it will surely come to pass.
In this political era many people will show interest in one position or the other. Some will be elected while others may not, but truth be told, the most credible candidate will be voted for freely and fairly.
Some times, in politics, party does not win election, but candidate does. Many can remember that Chief Ikedi Okakim won the governorship election of Imo State in 2007 in an unpopular party: PPA. Most house members currenting serving came to power through AA, an unpopular party too and recently in Anambra State election despite the fact that APC is in power at the federal level, APGA won the election because of the popularity of the candidate.
This simple means that, it is not all about the container, but the content.
In my today’s writeup, my esteemed readers, I write to talk about a woman who over the years has engaged in human capital development through her many years of humanitarian services. Am talking about Hon. Mrs. Edith Nwosu, popularly called Ikuku Oma Nwangele.
Edith Nwosu is an entrepreneur with over a decade experience working within the Niger Delta region, specifically as an oil & gas business development expert.
Managing Director of Sherwood Nigeria Limited, a business development company that provides marketing and consultancy services for companies in engineering, marine, equipment leasing and oil & gas sectors.
Ikuku Oma, driven by the passion to give back to the society to make the community a healthy place, Edith became a regular volunteer for outreach projects in her immediate community, seeing the level of hardship faced by members of the rural communities where she worked.
Moreso, she also became a major donor to projects of interest especially healthcare projects within the Niger Delta region.
Four years ago, she birthed the plan to assemble a team of medical doctors, surgeons, nurses and laboratory technicians who moved from community to community, providing stop gap medical services to people thus improving the health status of lessprivileged children. This alone made her to be more happier.
After running this project as a need-based charitable effort, she established it into a fully incorporated non-governmental and non-profit organization registered as the Edithnwosu Healthcare Foundation for Children under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) with the registration code, IT 120661.
Ikuku Oma had through her humanitarian activities touched thousands of lives across communities, focusing mainly on improving healthcare standards, especially the eradication of the number one childhood killer disease – malaria.
This, she does by distributing free WHO recommended treated mosquito nets to children, free malaria laboratory tests using RDT test kits, free malaria and other prophylaxis drugs among others.
On Friday 28th May, she was rewarded for her selfless contributions to improving the health status of less privileged children and general humanitarian succour with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award (Health) by a South South media based organization located in Port Harcourt.
Having x- rayed the above, am pleased to present to you the good people of Imo State and Nwangele, Hon. Mrs. Edith Nwosu, popularly called Ikuku Oma Nwangele, who has declared her interest to run to represent her constituents at the Imo State House of Assembly come 2023 election under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Having spoken with her, she has shown her readiness, determination to change the narrative by contesting in the forth coming election. Ikuku Oma, is a top-notch humanitarian, whose love for humanity and capital human development are next to nothing.
I have no doubt in me that she has come to reform, to transform and to change the narrative through effective representation to his good people of Nwangele State Constitutency.
