Hon. Ajah Emmanuel settles dispute among communities, Says there is need for peaceful coexistence
In his verge to maintaining peace, orderliness and harmony especially to ensure business of mining companies runs smoothly in the environment for benefits of all, and to avoid inordinate disruption of operation in the area.
The most dedicated and performing council chairman of Ivo local government area, Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) in his wisdom has stepped up in the raising situation that in several occasions provoked chaos and unrest in the area between Ihietutu and Amonye and between Ihietutu and Amata involving “Greenfield Metal Nig. Ltd, Palladium Mining companies Covering some parts of Amonye and Amata land respectively.
The both sides Amonye and Amata village opined according their map analysis that Palladium Mining Company has cross boundary between their land and Ihietutu village, and their farmland within that axis are completely contaminated resulting from tailings and other hazardous elements frequently accumulated and carried downstream through water flow thereby damaging their clean water.
The council chairman in a quick reaction propose to investigate all the affected area and return a favourable agreement possess of peace and harmony the neighbourhood is known for, while issues warning to both Stalkholders to eschew atom of crisis as government has put all arsenal’s to ensure peaceful co-existence.
