Group call on Imo government to intervene over Eze Nwokocha detention.
Residents of Nguru Aboh Mbaise have expressed fear that the continued detention of Eze Leo Nwokocha by the police could trigger insecurity in the area.
Some of the residents who pleaded anonymity described Eze Nwokocha as a pillar of peace who has spared nothing at rstamping out criminality in Mbaise and it’s environs.
“Youths in Mbaise respect him a lot and always afraid of engaging in wicked activities because Eze Nwokocha does not tolerate such,” the source said.
According to the anonymous, Eze Nwokocha being the Chairman of Mbaise council of Traditional rulers, is the chief Security officer of Mbaise and his role in the society is significant hence the need for his immediate release.
The source who described Mbaise as a peaceful place, asked governor Hope Uzodinma to effect the release of Eze Nwokocha from the police custody in the interest of a continued peace in the area.
