Governor reinforces security with vehicles donation to army, police
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has reinforced the state’s security apparatus by donating four Hilux vehicles to security agencies.
He stated that the gesture is aimed at boosting their morale and enhancing security operations across the state.
During the official handover ceremony at the Government House on Wednesday, Idris, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Government House, Dairu Zaki, urged the beneficiaries to utilise the vehicles effectively in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Reaffirming his administration’s unwavering commitment to security, Idris assured the agencies of continuous support in providing essential logistics for their operations.
“My administration is always ready to equip you with the necessary resources to ensure you perform your duties efficiently. Our collaboration with security agencies is for the common good of our people, and we remain steadfast in our support. Your success is our success,” he said.
Of the four vehicles donated, the Nigerian Army received three Hilux trucks, while the Mobile Police (Mopol) received one.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Nigerian Army, Major A. P. Azubuine, Commanding Officer of 1 Battalion, Dukku Barracks, Birnin Kebbi, commended the governor for his generous support and assured that the vehicles would be utilized effectively.
Similarly, the Commanding Officer of Mopol 36, Birnin Kebbi, ACP Aliyu Jega, acknowledged the donation’s significance in enhancing security efforts, promising that the vehicle would be instrumental in crime prevention across the state.
