Governor approves recruitment of 1,100 primary school teachers
The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has given approval for the employment of 1,100 primary school teachers across the 18 local government areas of the state.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the Director of Information and Public Relations of the state Universal Basic Education Board, Bolu Ajijo.
According to the statement, the governor gave the approval after the completion of the recruitment process.
The statement read, “As part of deliberate efforts to fill critical vacancies in Public Primary Schools across the State, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved the employment of One thousand One hundred teachers by Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board.
“The governor gave the directive after the completion of the recruitment process.”
In his reaction to the development, the Executive Chairman of Ondo SUBEB, Victor Olambitan commended the governor for approving the recruitment.
He said the employment would address gaps and possible shortfalls created by workers leaving the public Service.
“The employment will go a long way to improve pupils –teachers’ ratio in our public primary schools and at the same time help the quality of education delivered in schools, especially in rural and hard to reach areas across the state.
“Full details on how successful applicants will check for their names and commence documentation will be made public shortly,” he said.
