GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA’S AIDE CAUTIONS RECKLESS DRIVERS OVER DESTRUCTION OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY ON HIGHWAY, RESCUE ACCIDENT VICTIMS
The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo state on emergency response, Prince Oriade Adebawo has warned against reckless driving on highway especially for the reckless drivers who have the habit of destroying Government property on the road such as the street light and covets.
Reacting to an accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Akure the state capital, Prince Adebawo expressed sadden heart towards the accident leading to destruction of street light around mobil Fiwase roundabout involving and hash colour SUV who as a result of reckless acts destroyed one of the newly installed solar powered street lights by the Government.
Though, no life was lost at the incident as the emergency response team was quickly put into action to rescue the victims.
While cautioning against reckless driving and hit and run habit that ha been so rampant in recent time, Prince Adebawo reveals that the Government of Ondo state will henceforth sanction anyone caught involving in such destructive habits.
He however advised that all road users must be conscious and careful enough during this ember months as safety of lives of the people of the state is so essential to the Administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
I want to implore all the drivers across all the eighteen council areas of the state, both the private and public vehicles to desist from reckless driving to avoid needless accidents and loss of lives, the Governor Aide Said.
