Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s Aide, Hon. Oriade Adebawo, SEMA Visits As Fire Outbreak Claims Lives of Two Young Brothers, Condoles with Family
A devastating fire outbreak occurred in the Oluwatuyi area of Akure, Ondo State, claiming the lives of two young boys, Jelia and Jenson Olurankise, aged 6 and 4 years old, respectively. The Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Wellington Oriade Adebawo and SEMA , swiftly visited the scene of the fire outbreak to assess the situation and empatised with the affected family.
Upon arrival, Hon. Adebawo and SEMA team was met with the charred remains of the building and the heartbreaking news of the two young lives lost. He took the time to condole with the family and neighbors, offering words of comfort and support during this difficult time.
After visiting the scene, Hon. Adebawo proceeded to visit the father, Mr. Olurankise Taiwo, at his parents’ residence along Alakure High School, Ijoka Akure. Mr. Olurankise, a commercial tricycle rider, narrated the harrowing events that led to the fire outbreak. He explained that he had gone out to fend for his family with his tricycle when he received a call about the fire outbreak in his residence.
Rushing back home on a bike, Mr. Olurankise was met with the horrific sight of his house and children engulfed in flames. The father’s anguish was palpable as he recounted the events, and Hon. Adebawo offered his condolences and support.
Afterwards, Hon. Adebawo also visited the mother of the deceased boys at her parents residence at Oshinle Street, Akure and similarly offered words of comfort from the state government.
Hon. Adebawo’s visit to the family demonstrates the Ondo State Government’s commitment to providing support and relief during emergencies.
