Gov. Aiyedatiwa Aide, Hon. Wellington Adebowo Leads Emergency Response Team To Akure Fire Scene
The Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Emergency Response, Hon. (Prince) Oriade Wellington Adebawo, visited the scene of a devastating fire that razed a carpentry workshop along Oba-ile road, Akure, in the early hours of Wednesday, November 4. The workshop was completely destroyed by the fire.
During his visit to the scene, Hon. Adebawo was accompanied by officials from the Ondo State Emergency Management Agency (ODSEMA) and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The team assessed the extent of the damage caused by the fire and commiserated with the owner of the workshop and other affected residents.
Hon. Adebawo expressed his sympathy for the victims of the fire and assured them that the state government would do everything possible to support them.
The cause of the fire is still unknown as of the time of writing this report.
Hon. Adebawo assured the owner of the workshop that the state government would provide them with the necessary support to rebuild their business. He also promised that the government would take steps to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Hon. Adebawo further said that his visit and that of the emergency management agencies to the scene of the fire is a clear indication of the state government’s commitment to the welfare and safety of its citizens.
