‘God Has Instructed Me To Prepare To Go To Nigerian Senate – House of Assembly Lawmaker Claims

Hon. Oluwafowokanmi Oluwafemi Adebayo, a Member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan South West Constituency II, has announced that he has received a divine call to prepare for a Senate bid.

Speaking to an attentive audience, the lawmaker expressed his belief that the time has come for him to expand his political horizon and serve the people of Oyo State in the Senate.
The lawmaker said, “When I completed my second term, I told them I wouldn’t run for a third. I was waiting for God to speak to me. Now, God is telling me to prepare for the Senate.
“But I couldn’t say it out loud because it felt as heavy as heaven and earth. If I said it, people might think I’m crazy—how could I become a senator in Ibadan? But that’s how God works.”
Adebayo said, “Today, I want to show my gratitude to God. Ten percent of three million is three hundred thousand, and I will give that to God right here.”
“I have started sowing seeds for that Senate position, acknowledging that I am not capable of achieving it on my own. It is only God who can make it happen. This is the first time I am publicly saying that God told me to go for the Senate. It feels as heavy as heaven and earth to me, but with God, everything is possible,” the lawmaker added.
