Glamour as DAF Collaborates with Ondo West Local Government Education Authority to Celebrates, Gives Awards to Teachers, Commends their Contributions towards National Development.

DARAMOLA ADESUYI FOUNDATION (DAF) IN COLLABORATION WITH THE ONDO WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT EDUCATION AUTHORITY CELEBRATED THE IMMENSE CONTRIBUTIONS OF TEACHERS TOWARDS NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
This year’s World Teacher’s Day was uniquely celebrated in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State as Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF) in collaboration with the Ondo West Local Government Education Authority organized an interactive session programme among the teachers, pupils and education stakeholders in the local council and Awards Presentation to deserving teachers.
Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF), a Non – Governmental Organization under the founder, Barrister Daramola Adesuyi is poised to inspire, empower and connect people to their dreams and aspirations in the areas of education, skills acquisition, humanitarian services and community development.
Dignitaries and educational stakeholders who graced the August occasion were not limited to the Ondo West Local Government Education Secretary, Barr. Bada Maruf, Pastor Adeyemi and Prof. Mrs Duyilemi of University of Medical Sciences, Ondo (UNIMED).
Others were Ondo West Local Government Chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers, Mr. Sunday Akinsete, Ondo West Local Government Chairman of Association of Primary School Head Teachers of Nigeria (AOPSHON), Mr. Akinnagbe Francis Fola, and Ondo State AOPSHON Chairman, Mr. Akinrotoye Fredrick among others.
The beautifully knitted programme which was held at the Teachers Hall, Oke-Gbala, behind UNIMED, Ondo, Ondo State was themed “Teacher’s as the Cornerstone of National Development.”
As emphasized by ‘DAF’, the essence of the programme was to identify with the efforts, significance and impacts of teachers in raising future champions among the pupils as well as their roles in society building.
The one-of-its-kind event in recent times in Ondo Kingdom also featured inspirational speeches from distinguished educators and community leaders, awards presentations, recognition of outstanding teachers and beautiful dance performances from the town’s Cultural Troupe.
An interactive workshop and discussion on 21st Century Teachers Emotional Intelligence for Best Performance was handled by Dr. Janet Adegbenro (CEO, Altitude Skills Academy) from South Africa and Dianne Nettling (CEO, Imsyser and Altitude Skills Academy Consultant) who handled the Brain Hygiene and Stress Management for 21st Century Teachers at the event.
The keynote address of the event was delivered by Prof. (Mrs) Duyilemi on “Teachers as the Cornerstone of National Building”.
The outcome of the programme met the expectations of the organizers as mind changing messages were passed, knowledge built upon and above all, the teaching profession, which is the building block of the nation and one of the noble professions in the world was appreciated in no small measure at the event.
