Ganduje; Only those on APC e-register will be considered for appointments, contest elections
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said only members whose names appear on the party’s digital register will be eligible to be considered for political appointments.
Ganduje said this at the opening of the e-membership registration, tagged: “Train-the-Trainer” workshop, yesterday in Abuja.
One hundred and nine participants, comprising three each from the 36 states and one participant from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), were trained to kick off the APC membership e-registration.
The national chairman also said the party would discard the manually computed register, insisting that only the names that appear on the digital register would be deemed to be genuine and those of faithful party members.
Opening the frontiers of the party, Ganduje urged Nigerians to embrace the APC and use the e-registration to join the party when the exercise proper begins.
The national chairman explained that existing and intending members are required to provide their biometric data, which must tally with the details captured in the National Identity Number (NIN).
He said the process would not only drive the planning, decision-making, and projection process but would serve as the basis of reference for party members seeking appointments at any level or desiring to contest an election.
