Four Suspects Remanded In Correctional Service Over Murder Of SS2 Student, Ahmed Musa

The murder case Of Ahmed Musa, a Senior Secondary School 2 student of the Government Technical College Malali in Kaduna North local government area of Kaduna State has been adjourned after the court session.

Four suspects who are security personnel of the Kaduna State vigilance service (KADVIS), appeared in the Kaduna Chief Magistrate Court Kabala Doki in Kaduna on Thursday.
They were charged with the murder of Ahmed Musa, the SS2 student.
The Chief Magistrate, Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid ordered that the four defendants be remanded in a correctional facility.
The case has been adjourned until the 27th of May 2025.
The suspects are Timothy Abba; 56 years old, Joseph Ogoni; 41 years old, Bulus Adamu 42 years old and Francis Adamu, 48 years old. They are all personnel of the Kaduna State vigilance service (KADVIS), posted to the said school to provide security.
They were charged before the Kabala Doki Magistrate court, after being accused of criminal conspiring and negligence which caused the death of Ahmed Musa at the Government Technical College, Malali, Kaduna.
The security personnel will be remanded at the Kaduna Correctional Centre for alleged connection in the murder case.
SaharaReporters had recently reported that the family of Ahmed Musa, announced plans to take legal action and stage a mass protest against the Kaduna State Government over its alleged failure to respond to their demands for justice and compensation.
In a statement released by the family, they had described Ahmed Musa’s death as a “reflection of how insecure and unsafe” Nigeria has become for young people striving for a better future.
They demanded an “expedited, transparent, and decisive legal process” to ensure justice is served, while vowing to resist any political interference or compromise.
The grieving family further called on the state government to formally acknowledge that students are no longer safe in their communities and issue a public apology.
Additionally, they are demanding N560.3 million in compensation for what they described as “unfair treatment” following the tragic death of their son.
In a statement jointly signed by Comrade Musa Mohammed (Moonlight), Mal. Almustapha Musa, Mrs. Mariya Abdullahi and Mrs. Lauratu Abdullahi, the family also warned that failure to meet their demands would lead to mass protests across Kaduna State.
