Four arrested for alleged robbery of PoS agent
The police in Katsina State have arrested four suspected armed robbers for robbing a Point of Sale agent in the Babban Mutum area of Baure Local Government Area of the state.
The suspects, according to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Sadiq, include two ex-convicts, Basiru Ayuba and Abdullahi Abubakar, who connived with two others, Muhammed Musa and Musa Rabi’u, to perpetrate the robbery.

The PPRO noted that after the plan had been perfected by the trio, they engaged the services of Rabi’u to conclude the last phase of the robbery act.
He further narrated that following the perfection of their plans, on September 6, the suspects launched an attack on the house of Rabi’u Umar, a PoS agent, and robbed him of the sum of N2m, a mobile phone, and 15 Libyan dinars.

PUNCH Metro reported on August 21 that the command dismantled a six-man armed robbery syndicate in the state.
Sadiq had informed journalists during a press briefing at the command headquarters that, following a series of reports about the nefarious activities of a notorious syndicate of armed robbers terrorising the Filin Polo quarters in Katsina metropolis and its environs, the Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar Musa, swiftly deployed a team of operatives to investigate and apprehend the perpetrators.
“The team promptly swung into action and successfully dismantled a six-man syndicate of notorious armed robbers terrorising the Filin Polo quarters of Katsina metropolis,” he had stated.
