Former Governor Obiano’s Wife Picks APGA’s Ticket For Anambra North Senatorial Zone.
Dr Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, the wife of the the immediate past Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has emerged the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in next year’s Anambra North Senatorial Zone election.
The former first Lady clinched 152 votes in the keenly contested election to defeat her closest rival and her husband’s former Chief of Staff, Chief Primus Odili who got 120 votes.
Two other aspirants in the election including a former Commissioner of Information and Communication Strategy under the Obiano administration, Ogbuefi Tony Nnachetta got two votes each.
The election which was supposed to have held on Saturday May 28, 2022 was later held today Sunday May 29, 2022 after it was shifted due to security concerns.
