As the nation is about to experience a new phase of leadership and representation rising from a flawless electoral victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in an election adjudged to be a true reflection of national spread and robust bridge-building efforts, it is very unfortunate to note that there is an urgent need to rein-in on certain vested interest bent on creating needless rancour and a clear departure from an inclusive government.

As we make effort to erase the ugly scenario of the 2015 leadership ambush occasioned be the unholy alliance strucked between Senator Saraki and the opposition party to hijack power through the back door from our minds, we must not allow the same scenario play out again.

It is no longer news that the lagos cabal is dangerously poised to hoodwink the president into believing that a certain speakership aspirant has been adopted by the members-elect, despite the fact that there is no such consensus, is not only selfish but an attempt to perpetuate themselves in office through proxies to the detriment of general interest and national unity.

In an heterogeneous society like ours, there is the need to ensure political balancing and inclusivity in such a way that all regions are factored into the leadership arrangement without leaving any region behind.

One thing is sacrosanct, if we must achieve a thorough and harmonious executive-legislative relationship, we must create a level playing ground for all aspirants to achieve their ambitions and be deliberate about a rancour-free political atmosphere were development can thrive.

We therefore call on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stay true to his long standing attribute of thoroughness and national cohesion by calling the Lagos cabal to order and ensuring that common sense prevail for the benefit of all.
