A lawyer, Vincent Adodo has commended the Governor of Ondo state, His Excellency Lucky Aiyedatiwa on the release of two billion naira to caution inflation, address food insecurity and other economic challenges across the state.

Bar. Adodo in a statement released to Our Heritage Reporter on Wednesday afternoon via telephone conversation described the Governor’s action as the best way to go in addressing lingering economic challenges in the state.

Bar. Adodo also advised Governor Aiyedatiwa to judiciously channel the newly FG cares fund for the betterment of lives of the people of the state.

According to him, I read in the news that our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has released the sum of N2 Billion Naira to address issues of food security in Ondo State.

It was also reported by the Nation Newspapers in it’s 23rd July 2024 edition that the Ondo State Government has commenced the sale of subsidized food items at various markets across the state to cushion the effect of economic challenges.

These are right steps in the right direction, especially at these critical times. Kudos to Your Excellency sir. Bar Adodo said in the statement.

He however, advised the Governor on the best way to expend the funds recently disbursed to the State by the Federal Government, he said “I wish Your Excellency would ensure that the 13 Billion Naira (N13, 925, 262, 355.18) recently disbursed to Ondo State by the Federal Government from the NG Cares programme is utilised strategically and prudently to address the issues of high cost of living and food security in our dear State as our people are feeling the pangs of the sporadic rise in the high cost of living, especially the price of staple food items.

Commendation to Your Excellency for these recent hopefully impactful efforts, Adodo stated.
