The popular Emure Ile Civic center was full to the brim on Sunday 13th Dec 2020, as the prestigious peculiar market women Association held the 2020 annual anniversary and awards ceremony in well organized atmosphere.
The peculiar market women Association which consists of women of substantial values to their respective families and communities which sole aim is always to putting place measures for economic development of their immediate environment.
Discharging a lecture on the title EMPOWERMENT OF MARKET WOMEN IN NIGERIA was Prof Daramola from achiever University, Owo.
Prof Daramola in his lecture describes market women as a strong tool in the social economic development of any given society, as they stand as the major means through which money circulate from one person to another via trading. He also mentioned the major constraints of market women in Nigeria societies and possible solutions were also disclosed.
The event according to the report of our heritage reporter, was a colorful and marvel one ,which saw notable men and women of substance present.
Dignitaries and awardees at the event include: the chief of staff to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, Chief Gbenga Ale who was represented by Rev. Obassoto, Dr Tunji abayomi,Hon Badejo representative of the owo council chiarman, Princess Funmilayo Brown Ademulegun,prince Muyiwa Ademulegun, Chief Mrs Funsho Ogunla, Mr owoputi representative of Eng. Audi, Pa Tayo Aisida, Chief Balogun Salami ,Chief olufemi omosanya,prince Rotimi Ibidapo and many others.
In his own address, the president of the association, Hon Peter Fayase, appreciate God Almighty for the previledge giving to hold the 2020 anniversary despite all odds expecially that of covid-19 and the End sars protest, God has spared the association as no lost whatsoever was recorded among member’s.
Hon Peter Fayase equally appreciate all dignitaries present,for thier positive response to the association call, more also he use the medium to appreciate some stakeholders who has been supportive to the association both in case and kind, such which includes the patron and patroness chief and Chief Mrs Ogunla, Chief Ajipe Alex and many others.
