The Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has approved the payment of N75,000 as a new minimum wage to civil servants in the state.

This was contained in a press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Monday Uzor, and obtained by Channels Television.

According to the statement, the decision followed a careful review of the current economic situation in the country especially as it affects the workforce, adding that the new minimum wage will improve the financial well-being of the workers, as the increase will help cope with rising living costs and provide better opportunities for the workers.
