DSK formally Declared to run for TARABA Governorship
Renowned Philanthropist & APC chieftain Chief David Sabo Kente has formally declared his intention to run for the number one seat in Taraba State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Chief DSK made this known yesterday 15th-April 2022 in an address on various media platforms in his Jalingo Political Office just few minutes after some series of marathon meetings with the Party Excos from Northern Taraba and the Central Zone..
Chief David Sabo Kente while addressing the Press, and thousands of his supporters said he is fully ready & prepared, mentally and emotionally fit, to face the task of Governance in order to get Taraba out of doldrums.
He Said “There is no better time for the APC Taraba to wrestle power from the inept PDP administration like now. The era in which people will be suffering and smiling is over. Tarabans can no longer afford maladministration, incompetency under the giuse of (Rescue).
As a state we are faced with many trials and turbulences over the years which of course were given birth by bad governance & I’m motivated by this concerns to present myself to lead this vangaurd to rescue our people from the “fake rescuers”
He continued…. “Taraba as a State is facing numerous challenges ranging from unemployment of our teeming youths, lack of basic social amenities like good roads, portable and safe-drinking water, recreational facilities for wellness activities, functional electricity, efficacious and sustainable healthcare, functional and affordable education etc. While corruption, nepotism & cynicism has become the order of the day in our dear State.
And it is for this reasons that I stand before you today asking for your confidence for a new mandate to contest for the highest seat in the State with the hope to restore our dear state to the path that will work for us and our future generations..
We are on a mission to rescue our dear State and i want Tarabans to view this as a generational movement, the absence of resources is not what is holding our state back from developing, rather what stopped us from developing is the failure of good leadership.
So I stand here before you to solicit for your support to give me the mandate to pilot the affairs of our state and prepare the future of our children and to build the Taraba of our dream, I have since submitted my letter of intent to the state party chairman.”
