Speaking to newsmen in Abuja, Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu LLB, The Spokesman of the group stated that the urgent priority of the newly inaugurated Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria should be the diversification of the economy of Nigeria, infrastructure development, investment in key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and technology, and initiatives to improve business and investment climate, industrialization and attraction of foreign direct investment to stimulate economic growth and create jobs for the teeming unemployed and underemployed Nigerians.

The group harped on the need for the President Tinubu led federal government to strengthen national security, combat terrorism, and improve law enforcement agencies, evolve new strategies to enhance the capabilities of security personnel, promote community policing, to ensure the safety of citizens and investment environment, tackle corruption and ensure the independence and efficiency of the judiciary.

Amb. Nwachukwu reiterated that Nigerians expect the new cabinet to address social inequality, alleviate poverty, and improve the living standards of citizens by developing comprehensive social welfare programs and initiatives to enhance healthcare availability and affordability, education reform increase access and quality, and measures to promote gender equality and social inclusion.

He further re-echoed the need to prioritize the development of critical national infrastructure such as power generation and access to electricity especially in the rural areas, improve transportation networks of road, rail, water and telecommunications while enhancing connectivity and internet access across the country.

 

Amb. Nwachukwu revealed that with the introduction of new ministries such as the Ministry of Blue economy, the Implement policies to address environmental challenges and promote sustainable development which entails initiatives to combat climate change, promote renewable energy sources, protect natural resources, and ensure sustainable management of forests and wildlife.

Dream Nigeria Movement through its spokesman futher called on the federal Ministers to take appropriate action and measures to promote probity, accountability, and transparency, administrative reforms, anti-corruption measures and adoption of e-governance technologies, and initiatives to enhance citizens’ participation in the decision-making process.
