There’s a renewed energy sweeping through the political space in Ondo State, and it’s one that even the opposition can’t ignore. At the heart of it is the growing synergy between Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state—a relationship that has drawn the admiration of party stalwarts, including Dr. Owoka.

Speaking during a recent interaction with journalists, Dr. Owoka didn’t mince words in commending the governor. “This isn’t just governance—it’s partnership in action,” he said. “Governor Ayedatiwa has not only stepped into leadership with confidence, but with a deep respect for party structure and party men.”

From constant stakeholder engagements that bring respected leaders across all zones together, to the consistent financial backing of party activities, Owoka described the level of coordination as “a rare feat in the life of our party.” The meetings, he noted, are not just symbolic—they are well-funded, inclusive, and productive, giving party elders and grassroots actors a clear sense of belonging.

One of the game-changing moves by the administration has been the introduction of monthly stipends for all party executives. “It’s a bold step,” Owoka said. “For the first time in a long while, the party base is not only active, it’s motivated. The gesture has breathed life into the rank and file of the APC across the state.”

He also highlighted the renewed patronage to party leaders, many of whom have spent years serving without recognition. “This government is not just remembering our leaders—it’s empowering them,” he stated.

On the broader governance front, Owoka gave credit to Ayedatiwa for showing serious concern about security, especially with the proposed creation of a Security Fund. “In a time where safety is everyone’s worry, this kind of initiative shows foresight,” he added. “It means we’re not just reacting—we’re preparing.”

Another area that has earned the governor applause is his approach to outstanding salaries and allowances. “He didn’t sweep it under the carpet. He addressed it. Workers are getting paid, and hope is being restored.”

Owoka also praised the continuation and expansion of infrastructure projects initiated under the Akeredolu administration. “This government is not abandoning the past—it’s building on it and expanding into every corner of the state, equitably.”

For him, the icing on the cake is the renewed attention being given to youth development. “The youth are being prioritized—not just in words, but in opportunities and programs. And that’s how you secure the future.”

Wrapping up, Dr. Owoka called the current synergy a “political blueprint worth preserving.” In his words, “What we are seeing is the foundation of a stronger APC. A party not just in power, but in touch—with its people, its roots, and its responsibilities.”
