Dr. Chuba Keshi, The Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria has eulogised A Non-governmental Organisation, Youth Advocates For Peace Justice and Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) for it’s ongoing Nigeria Peace Campaign.
Dr. Chuba Keshi, A Doctor of Philosophy in Business Strategy from Monarch Business School Switzerland who has written several books bothering on Nigeria’s unity, Politics, governance among others commended the group for their efforts in ralling the Nigerian youths towards the unity of the country.
He gave this commendation when he received some of the peace campaigners led by Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, The National President and Hon. Adamu Musa Uba, The Northern Coordinator of YAPJEN who paid him a courtesy visit in the National Assembly.
*According to Amb Timothy Nwachukwu, The President of the Group, “The Nigeria Peace Campaign was borne out of the desire to reawaken the consciousness of Nigerian youths, rejuvenate thier mind towards Patrotism and Nation Building”.*
The group bore placards bearing unifying messages such as, “NIGERIA PEACE CAMPAIGN”,
“PUT NIGERIA FIRST”, “NIGERIA OVER ETHNICITY AND TRIBALISM” “I STAND FOR PEACE” among others.
The group reiterated their firm belief in the unity of Nigeria despite it’s diversities. They stated that, Nigeria’s diversities if properly harnessed and managed have the propensity to make it the giant of Africa.
On his part, Dr. Chuba Keshi encouraged the youths in their efforts to spread the message of hope and peace across Nigeria. He stated that in one of his books, titled, The Politics of last resorts, He posited that Nigeria’s situation will not be solved on the battlefield but will require negotiation for Nigeria to be able to attain it’s nationhood.
He urged them to remain steadfast as their generation is expected to provided the long awaited solution that Nigeria earnestly craves for.
He pledge his commitment and support to the group to enable them achieve their goals.
*The group further presented, “Nigeria Patriot Icon Award” to Dr. Keshi for his relentless and painstaking efforts in promoting peace in Nigeria.*
