A group, Ondo Masses Solidarity Movement (MSM) has warned the embattled deputy governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and one Biyi Poroye, against causing a crisis in the state.

The group has also accused the deputy governor and Poroye of allegedly mobilising cult groups and members of the suspended National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to incite violence in the state.

In a statement signed by its coordinator, Chief Ogunyemi Jeremiah, the MSM expressed concerns about the deputy governor’s and Poroye’s plan to involve cultists and suspended NURTW members in their scheduled protest and press conference, which is set to take place tomorrow.

The group has deemed this move as dangerous.

“We have received information about the planned activities of Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Biyi Poroye. We are deeply concerned about the participation of cultists and suspended NURTW members in the planned protest and press conference sponsored by the deputy governor and led by Poroye,” stated Chief Ogunyemi Jeremiah.

The group also called on all security agencies in the state to take action and prevent the deputy governor and his associates from potentially instigating unrest in the state.

While recognising the right to hold a press conference or protest, the MSM emphasises that it is entirely unacceptable to unleash cultists and NURTW members on the innocent people of the state.

“We issue this warning based on the information available to us. We have credible intelligence that Poroye is sparing no effort to incite conflict and disrupt peace in the state,” the group concluded
