DON’T BE CAGED BY YOUR SPOKEN WORDS – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin
Proverbs 6:2 KJV.
“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth”.
*MESSAGE*
☆☆☆ The words of our mouth are so powerful that they have made and marred the lives of many.
☆☆☆ Some have taken their words so lightly that they consider them as jokes.
☆☆☆ Beloved, according to Acts 10:34, God is no respecter of persons, including jokes.
☆☆☆ In Numbers 14:28, God said 👇
“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord , as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” – Numbers 14:28.
☆☆☆ The simple explanation of this is that God will respond to us according to the words of our mouths.
☆☆☆ Words are so powerful that once spoken, they can never be retrieved.
☆☆☆ Some people have made statements unconsciously and such have led to their lifting, while some others made theirs and they paid for it dearly.
☆☆☆ For example, when God said 👇
“Saying , Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm” – Psalm 105:15.
☆☆☆ The implication of this is that, you don’t have to attack God’s anointed physically before you run foul of this commandment of God.
☆☆☆ You can touch God’s through the spoken words of your mouth.
☆☆☆ Some men of God carry so much anointing that God is grieved and reacts immediately whenever negative words are spoken against them.
☆☆☆ A very good example of this can be found in Numbers 12:1-10.
☆☆☆ Aaron and Mariam had spoken against the anointed of God, Moses.
☆☆☆ God heard them and dealt with them accordingly.
☆☆☆ Remember, Moses didn’t hear them but God did and responded.
☆☆☆ Beloved, watch what you say because those words can either make or mar your life.
☆☆☆ Hear this 👇
â– â– â– Some people were invited for interview in a company. They were deliberately kept waiting for long. Many complained and left. Some made so many unpalatable comments while very few made good comments about the company but they still waited.
â– â– â– Unknown to these applicants, part of the interview was to deliberately keep them waiting to sort out those who are patient among them. The job actually requires those who are patient. A member of the panel of interviewers was also in their midst listening to their comments and taking notes.
â– â– â– Later those who waited were called in for the final interview. Those who made comments about the company were reminded of what each of them said. Those who made bad comments were asked to go because they failed, while those whose comments were positive about the company were taken. They were just 2 candidates.
*PRAYERS*
1. Oh God my father, please give me the grace to be silent when my tongue is under attack.
2. My father and my creator, put the right words in my mouth when my are being put to test.
3. Father, disgrace and disappoint those who are trying to ensnare me by my spoken words.
4. I refuse to be caged by the words of my mouth.
5. I receive the tongue of the learned to speak the right words at the right time.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS*👇
I pray for somebody today, may your mouth not ruin your destiny in Jesus name. May you not be the architect of your own failure in Jesus name.
I decree, according to Isaiah 50:4, may the Lord give you the tongue of the learned in Jesus name.
In the name of Jesus, I decree, the words of your mouth shall be seasoned with salt.
May your words comfort those who are weary and edify the souls of men in Jesus mighty name.
