DIVINE ANTIDOTES TO MARRIAGE BREAK UPS – Pastor Isaac Olutimehin

*TEXT:*
Genesis 2:18-25 KJV.
“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him”.
[19] “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof”.
[20] “And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him”.
[21] “And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof”;
[22] “And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man”.
[23] “And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man”.
[24] “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”.
[25] “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed”.
*MESSAGE*
☆☆☆ Most marriages break up easily today due to many factors.
☆☆☆ We are not here to discuss why marriages break up but what God has prescribed as ways to guide against it.
☆☆☆ The following steps are biblical guidelines to avert marriage break ups👇
*1. Marriage is the idea of God, not that of man.*
☆☆☆ We must understand the fact that marriage wasn’t the idea of man but God.
☆☆☆ The bible recorded👇
“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him” – Genesis 2:18.
☆☆☆ Therefore, if your marriage is experiencing crisis and you are facing challenges, run back to God for assistance.
☆☆☆ The problem with man is that he wants to solve his marital problems his own way, leaving God out of it.
☆☆☆ Commit your marital challenges into the hand of God, trust also in him and you will surely enjoy marital bliss.
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” – Psalm 55:22.
☆☆☆ You can also read Psalm 37:5 and 1 Peter 5:7.
*2. Your wife is your help meet, not your load carrier.*
☆☆☆ My people have a saying that the owner of a load will first carry it up from the ground before helpers can come forth to assist him.
☆☆☆ Remember that at creation, your wife was created to assist you and not to become the load carrier of the family.
☆☆☆ The bible calls her your *help meet,* Genesis 2:18.
☆☆☆ She can play her role as help meet, by contributing to assist you run the family. You too as a man and the husband must also look for ways to assist your wife.
☆☆☆ Nothing stops a man from assisting the wife in washing or cleaning the house, tying nappy for your baby or even assisting in the kitchen.
☆☆☆ In fact, the kitchen is the best place to assist a woman. Only the legend will understand.
☆☆☆ I know some people may want to argue and disagree with me here. Some men may be thinking of what people will say, they will call you woman wrapper, right? Remember, she’s your wife and not theirs.
☆☆☆ I saw a verse in the bible that amazes me👇
“And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem *as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down”* – 2 Kings 21:13.
☆☆☆ If it’s wrong for a man to wash the dish, wipe it and turn it upside down; God wouldn’t have used it as an analysis.
*3. Husband, don’t struggle to understand a woman.*
☆☆☆ Many men today complain that they can’t understand their wives. Haaa, how can you understand a woman who was created when you were sleeping!!
“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof” – Genesis 2:21.
☆☆☆ Husband, please go back to God who created both of you and he will surely grant you perfect understanding of her.
☆☆☆ The more you try to understand a woman, using the knowledge of man, the more confused you will surely become.
*4. See your woman the way God sees her.*
☆☆☆ It was God who first saw the creature he made out of Adam as a woman.
“And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man” – Genesis 2:22.
☆☆☆ When God now brought her to Adam, Adam saw her the same way God had seen her.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man” – Genesis 2:23.
☆☆☆ When a man sees his wife the way God sees her, there will be peace at home.
☆☆☆ God calls the woman a weaker vessel, so relate with her as such. God wants you to treat her well so that your prayers will not be hindered.
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; *that your prayers be not hindered* ” – 1 Peter 3:7.
☆☆☆ Husband, instead of accusing your wife of being possessed with the witchcraft spirit, check the way you are treating and relating with her.
☆☆☆ If you treat her badly, God will block your prayers.
✓✓ Many years ago, I knew a couple who was always fighting. After much counseling and prayers, God led me to appeal to the wife to be praying for her husband every morning before he left for work. She agreed and was doing it religiously. Six months later, the husband was promoted in his place of work and the promotion was backdated and all allowances paid in arrears. He later bought a car for his wife and I was called to dedicate the car.
*5. Husband and wife, learn to leave your parents and cleave together as one.*
☆☆☆ Let’s go back to the bible to see the stand of God here👇
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh” – Genesis 2:24.
☆☆☆ Beloved, please don’t get the position of God wrong here. The bible didn’t say that you should see your parents as enemies, No.
☆☆☆ When you have issues to settle as husband and wife, don’t run back to your parents to report each other. Both of you should learn to sit down together to resolve issues with love.
☆☆☆ Some men still take orders from their parents on how to relate with their wives or run their homes.
☆☆☆ When you read Genesis 2:24 over again, you will discover that the word “leave” precedes “cleave”. The difference between “leave” and “cleave” is the letter ‘C’ which stands for commitment. You must first “leave” for you to be fully committed to each other.
*6. In-laws, please give them a chance to enjoy their marriage.*
☆☆☆ All they require from you is your prayers. If any of you must visit, it must be by the approval of the couple.
☆☆☆ I know some parents (in-laws) may want to argue, but pastor, she’s my son/daughter, I carried him/her in my womb for 9 months. Yes but now he/she is married, stay with your own husband.
☆☆☆ On a lighter mood: If you are invited to do ‘omugho’ (mothers are usually invited when a new baby arrives). Please don’t leave your husband behind 😀😀😀
☆☆☆ For example, if you are invited over to UK or Canada for ‘omugho’ and you leave your husband behind in Nigeria, please remember, *therefore what God has joined together, let no ‘Omugho’ put asunder* 😀😀
☆☆☆ Now, let me quickly add at this juncture that, due to the rising cases of abusive wife or husband, I will counsel that the in-law should occasionally stop by, unannounced, to check on the couple.
☆☆☆ Please make such visits very brief and take along gifts. Those unannounced visits will help you to catch them without rehearsed speeches, in case they are experiencing crisis hidden from you.
*7. Don’t hide anything from each other.*
☆☆☆ Beloved, be open and naked before each other. For the bible says👇
“And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed” – Genesis 2:25.
☆☆☆ The bible is not talking about physical nakedness here but that both of you must be open to each other.
☆☆☆ You must know the movement of each other. The wife must know how much her husband earns as salary and vice versa.
☆☆☆ Husband, remember that the woman’s money is her money but your own money is our money. With that understanding, there won’t be any problem 🤣🤣.
*8. Sex is a mutual marital benefit*
☆☆☆ The body of the wife belongs to the husband and vice versa. Therefore, there should be free and undenied access from both of you.
☆☆☆ Sex shouldn’t become a tool to settle disputes. None of you should say: *See, before I allow you, let us first settle our disagreement.* Wives, don’t also use that opportunity to make demands on your husbands. That is not biblical.
☆☆☆ For the bible counsels👇
“The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife”.
[5] “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinence” – 1 Corinthians 7:4-5.
☆☆☆ Even if any of you decides to fast, it must be by mutual agreement and you must come together again after you break your fast.
☆☆☆ Sex is like an oil needed to lubricate your love in marriage.
*CONCLUSION*
☆☆☆ Let God, who is the author of marriage, be the head of your home.
☆☆☆ When a wife submits to her husband, it is unto God and not unto man👇
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord” – Ephesians 5:22.
☆☆☆ When the husband too loves his wife, he must love as Christ loves the church👇
“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” – Ephesians 5:25.
*PRAYERS*
1. Oh God, marriage is your own idea, please step into my marital life so that only your counsel shall stand.
2. Father, flush out every intruder disturbing the peace of my marriage.
3. Every agent of the devil, assigned to monitor my marriage, I blindfold you from today in Jesus name.
✓✓ Somebody sent me a message that she’s leaving in a particular house with her husband. The landlady recently announced that any woman who got pregnant must be ready to park out. Meanwhile, no couple in that house had a child, it has been stories of miscarriages. My counsel for her is to get another apartment.
4. Father, please visit the foundation of the house where I leave and uproot every demonic seed programmed into my marriage.
5. My womb and my unborn children shall not be used to renew evil covenants in Jesus name.
✓✓ Another fellow invited me to pray over a shop she just rented for her business. After the prayers, the Lord directed me to see a portion on floor of the shop, recently plastered. The woman said that was how she met it. The place was opened up and “Juju” (African magic) was found buried there. It was later discovered that the last occupier of that shop did it.
6. My father and my maker, neutralize the powers of whatever has been buried in my habitation that is working against my success.
7. Every arrow fired against my breakthrough, back fire now in Jesus name.
8. I grab the sword of God and I cut off every evil hand interfering in the affairs of my marriage.
9. I slaughter every human agent assigned to cause disharmony in my marriage.
10. Lord Jesus, please watch over my family.
*PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS*
I speak peace into every home passing through one challenge or the other. I decree, your marriage shall run according to the mandate of God.
Please Lord, let this prayer message heal every wounded heart in Jesus name.
To every single sister/brother out there, who is of marriageable age but still searching; only the counsel of God concerning you shall stand in Jesus name.
Where Adam was, there the Lord brought Eve to him; I prophesy, your Eve and your Adam shall the Lord connect with you in Jesus name.
May you not reject the will of God for your life.
To a particular woman out there, I decree, the troubler of your Israel, who you thought is your confidant; shall the Lord expose and disgrace in Jesus name.
Every agent of the devil, acting as an informant to your enemies, I decree and declare, the sword of God shall locate such for destruction in Jesus name.
To a particular sister, reading this prayer message, I decree, that demonic image put upon you shall the Lord set ablaze in Jesus name.
Where your assigned partner has been tied down, I decree, every chain and fetter, holding him/her down is hereby broken in Jesus name.
Woman, you have laboured so hard with your husband, I decree, on the day of your joy and celebration, no one shall take your place in Jesus name.
I command every family idols holding you down to lose its hold now in Jesus name.
Henceforth, I decree, your marriage shall know and experience true joy in Jesus name.
