Details Emerge As Wanted Criminal Is Spotted With Police Commissioner
Nasiru Abdullahi, popularly known as Chile Maidoki, who was one of the three notorious criminals on the wanted list of the Kano State Police Command, turned himself in to the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Usaini Gumel, on Saturday
Chile Maidoki, residing in Layin Falwaya Kurna, was among the trio of notorious criminals declared as wanted individuals by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gumel, with a reward of N100,000 for each of them.
However, Chile Maidoki voluntarily presented himself at the Bompai headquarters of the Kano State Police Command on the said Saturday.
This development marks the 100th instance of repentant criminals received by the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mohammad Gumel. The statement regarding Chile Maidoki’s surrender was issued by SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, the spokesperson of the Kano Police Command, and made available to journalists on the same day.
According to Mr. Kiyawa, Chile Maidoki informed the police that he used to seek refuge in burial ground areas within Kano City to evade detection by security personnel. He has now appealed to the police and the citizens of the state for forgiveness, expressing his repentance and readiness to collaborate with law enforcement to foster lasting peace and development in the region.
Mr. Kiyawa emphasized that Chile Maidoki should not be subjected to public stigmatization.
Nevertheless, the other two individuals, Abba Burakita of Dorayi Quarters and Hantar Daba of Kwanar Disu, with a bounty of N100,000 each for information leading to their arrest, remain at large.
The statement concluded by encouraging individuals who possess credible information about the whereabouts of the remaining wanted criminals to contact the nearest police station.
