Court Takes Fresh Action On Edo LP candidate, Akpata
The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed Olumide Akpata as the Labour Party’s governorship candidate for Edo State.
Earlier in June, Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja had dismissed a lawsuit challenging Akpata’s nomination.
Justice Omotosho ruled in favor of Akpata, accepting the argument presented by his lawyer, Johnson Usman (SAN), that the plaintiffs lacked legal standing to bring the case.
