Court orders college Registrar to pay N1million for slapping lecturer

The Chief Magistrate Court in Yola has ordered a college registrar to cough up N1 million in damages after slapping a married female lecturer, Mrs. Fadimatu Musa.

The Acting Registrar of the College for Legal Studies, Musa Chiroma, also paid N80,000 in prosecution costs and wrote an apology with a promise never to assault her again. This court drama, presided over by Chief Magistrate Uwani Danladi, ended with Chiroma’s discharge only after all conditions were met.
