CLOSE RANKS, WORK WITH TINUBU FOR A GREATER NIGERIA – NWACHUKWU URGE OPPOSITION PARTIES
Nigeria’s emerging political Czar, youth Ambassador and good governance Advocate, Hon. Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu LLB has appealed to Nigeria’s opposition political parties to close ranks and join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR to build the Nigeria of our dream.
Amb. Nwachukwu made this appeal in Abuja while reacting to the military incursion across Africa. He stated that building the nation of our dream requires a collaborative efforts from all patriotic citizens irrespective of political affiliation and by supporting the present government, the opposition will be seen as putting the interests of the nation above partisan politics and commitment to the overall well-being and development of Nigeria.
Hon. Nwachukwu reiterated that
the opposition party can engage in constructive dialogue and collaboration through exchange of ideas, compromise, and the development of effective policies that benefit the country as a whole as well as push for reforms, advocate for marginalized groups, and contribute to the overall development of the country.
In his words, “supporting the government does not mean blindly endorsing all its actions. The opposition parties can still play a crucial role in holding the government accountable for its decisions and actions and by being part of the government, they can have a more direct influence on policy-making and implementation.
Moreso, There may be instances where the opposition parties shares common policy goals with the ruling All progressive Congress led federal government. In such cases, supporting the government can help advance these shared objectives and bring about positive changes that can better the life of ordinary Nigerians.
Furthermore, supporting the government can contribute to fostering a sense of national unity and cohesion. In a diverse country like Nigeria, it is important for political parties to work together to bridge divides and promote a sense of shared purpose.
Therefore, it is pertinent for the coalition of opposition parties to
actively participate in the process of bringing about progressive change and ensure stability in governance amidst the growing number of military intervention across African countries which has truncated the democratic process.
