The former House of representatives member representing Idanre/ ifedore federal constituency Hon Moshood Biodun Bakare released his festive and season greetings message to his people in Idanre/ ifedore federal constituency and ondo State at Large.
According to him, Our Compatriots, the year 2021 has unarguably been a hectic one for the world. One can say, unequivocally, that it has been quite a long and tortuous period. Symbolically, it has been one year that thoroughly tested our faith and further solidified our resolve as a people.
Just as we were smarting from the disruptions of the previous year, occasioned by the Covid-19 induced lockdowns, EndSars protests and the attendant economic uncertainties were among the challenges we had to contend with in the outgoing year.
But, I thank God for keeping us all to this moment of the year despite the ugly inventories we wen through in the context of the year.
It is my hope that the upcoming’ year will be a lot better than the outgoing one for all of us in Ondo State and Nigeria.
In the incoming year, we must all refocus attention on ways through which we can develop as a people , we must drive and push up for community development this which will open way for people and economic growths.
On our youths and the evil trend of drug abuse and engagement in cult related activities must be jettison, I must say it is most worrisome. It is sad that the once reverred youths are now associated with a very dangerous and destructive drugs, This new low in our psycho-social milieu must be condemned , the youths remain the hope and enduring legacy of our society, I therefore call on all parents to restrain their wards from any form of drug abuse, be it cannabis sativa (Indian hemp), hard drinks or crystal meth.
I equally call on the couriers or dealers of these destructive drugs to stop forthwith. We should not be seen as aiding and abetting illicit drugs.
Let’s remember to keep the hope alive in the coming year.
It’s my prayer that Almighty God continue to strengthen and keep us all to witness many more celebration of Christmas and new year on planet earth in riches and pleasurable health state.
