Residents of surulere in Ondo kingdom of Ondo State have apprehended two cemetery guards for allegedly being in possession of heads of dead bodies buried in the cemetery.
The two guards were rescued by operative of the Amotekun security network when an angry mob was about to lynch them.
One of the cemetery guards identified as Alhaji was allegedly caught with a bag containing heads of dead bodies by some residents of the area.
He was further alleged to have exhumed the corpses from a cemetery belonging to an old generation church in the community.
While confirming the development, the state Commander of Amotekun in Ondo state, Mr. Adetunji Adeleye said suspects were rescued when the residents were planning to lynch them.
Adeleye, however, said human heads were not found on the suspects.
“The suspects were rescued by our men when the residents were about to kill them. We have handed them over to the Police.” he said.
