BUILD YOUR CHILD BEFORE BUILDING THAT HOUSE : Pastor Issac Olutimehin
TEXT:
Psalm 127:3-5 KJV.
[3] “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward”.
[4] “As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth”.
[5] “Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate”.
MESSAGE:
☆☆☆ Beloved, if you are busy building houses and accumulating wealth without first building your children, it is an error.
☆☆☆ The children you fail to build, educationally, morally and in the way of the Lord, will sell the houses you have built and ruin the wealth you have acquired.
☆☆☆ Many parents today rush to build mansions and abandon their children.
☆☆☆ Who tells you that your children (if you train them) will not build castles for you in future.
☆☆☆ Let me shock you, what you are busy building today and you call houses are of no interest to some children of nowadays.
☆☆☆ Some of them have genuinely laboured to acquire better properties.
☆☆☆ I heard the story of a very rich man who has 28 big houses scattered all over Lagos. The sorrow in his heart is that his children refused to even know the locations of those houses. The children said to him, “dad, we don’t need them”.
☆☆☆ They don’t need them because they all have better mansions.
☆☆☆ The man was lamenting that when he dies, who takes over those houses!!!
☆☆☆ I also heard the story of another man (a politician) who died and left behind 70 exotic cars in his compound. Some of them he never used for one day before he died.
☆☆☆ After his death, his children came home, when they saw the fleet of cars, they asked who owned them and if their father was selling cars!!!
☆☆☆ They were told that the cars belonged to their father because he loved beautiful cars.
☆☆☆ The children asked those who had worked with their father to take a car each as a gift. The children shared all the cars.
☆☆☆ All these are even better stories compared to others.
☆☆☆ I heard the story of a man who died and his son sold all his properties to squander on women.
☆☆☆ Another very pathetic story was the situation where the children of the deceased fought dirty, over the properties left by their father.
☆☆☆ Yet another very bad case was where the children, of the same father, started running from one herbalist to the other and ended up killing one another. Their mother, the widow, was left to inherit those properties but she eventually committed suicide. She left a suicide note that read: “What am I living for, husband is gone and children are no more”.
¶¶¶ I pray for you today, may you not know the burial ground of your children in Jesus name.
☆☆☆ Hear the words of wisdom from Solomon 👇
“Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit”.
[18] “Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me”.
[19] “And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity” – Ecclesiastes 2:17-19.
☆☆☆ Beloved, the plan of God for every man is to be fruitful.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth” – Genesis 1:28.
☆☆☆ If you are still trusting God for the fruit of the womb, I have good news for you today, God will surely visit you “at the time of life” in Jesus name.
☆☆☆ God can never be late beloved.
☆☆☆ When God finally answers your prayers and bless you with children, please, teach them the way they should go, so that they will give you peace later on in your old age.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” – Proverbs 22:6.
☆☆☆ Children are like arrows and as a shield against the onslaught of the enemies.
“Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate” – Psalm 127:5.
☆☆☆ Beloved, God can use these children as your defence against attacks from the enemies.
☆☆☆ I once had a disagreement with somebody who decided to threaten me with his lawyer. When one of my children, who is a barrister, heard about it; she said “leave this to me dad, I will handle it”. And she did handle it.
☆☆☆ A man who trains not his children has no future.
☆☆☆ Some parents believe they love their children so much and must influence their lives.
☆☆☆ Yes you can but be a good influence.
☆☆☆ Let me quickly add this here, in marriage, please parents, don’t insist on who your son or daughter must marry.
☆☆☆ Many parents had misled their children in the course of their journey into marriage.
☆☆☆ All you need do as parents is to counsel, pray for them and allow God to take over.
☆☆☆ Train your children educationally and most importantly, train them in the way of the Lord.
☆☆☆ The best way to train up a child is allowing him/her to learn from you.
☆☆☆ What you do is a better way to teach somebody than what you say.
☆☆☆ Students learn faster and better from “practicals”. Let your life be a very good “practical” ground upon which your children shall stand.
☆☆☆ Remember the story of the lost son, popularly called the “prodigal son” in Luke 15:11-32.
☆☆☆ He wasted his father’s inheritance through a riotous living.
☆☆☆ A very good home training and an enviable christian life, by the parents, will surely make a great positive difference in the lives of our children.
PRAYERS
1. Father please don’t allow me to mislead my children in Jesus name.
2. I refuse to become a negative influence to my children in Jesus name.
3. Oh God my father, please don’t allow me to become a stumbling block to my children in Jesus name.
4. I receive grace to be a shinning example to my children.
5. Let me live a life that will champion the road path of my children to success in Jesus name.
6. Oh God my father, separate my children from those who may influence their lives negatively in Jesus name.
7. Father, you that connected Joseph with the helpers of his destiny in a strange land, please Lord, connect my children with those who will impact their lives positively in Jesus name.
8. Anywhere they go, let them find favour.
9. Father, you are the author of marriage, please Lord, don’t allow my children to marry wrongly.
10. My children, I decree, you will not step into a sinking boat in Jesus name.
11. Polluters of glorious destinies will not partner with you.
12. You will not be faster than your creator.
13. My children shall live to fulfill their good purpose in life.
14. God has made you as crowns on my head, attackers of glorious destinies will not uproot you in Jesus name.
15. You will reach your goal and finish well in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
I pray that this message will minister to everyone concerned today in Jesus name.
I also pray for somebody out there, may you not destroy the future of your children with your present way of life in Jesus name.
I decree and declare, you will not unconsciously raise your children to destroy the labours of your hands in Jesus name.
“As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man”, so are your children; I decree, these arrows shall not be captured by the enemies in Jesus name.
You will not burry any of your children but they will all live to become great and mighty in Jesus name.
If any of these children is currently being under the attacks of the wicked, I decree, the Lord shall attack all their attackers and set them free in Jesus name.
Is there any of these children currently in the kidnappers den, I prophesy, the Lord strong and mighty, mighty in battle; shall arise and set them free in Jesus name.
As many of these children as are currently sick, I speak healing into your body now and you are healed in Jesus name.
To those trusting God for the fruits of the womb, the Lord that answered Hannah and Sarah shall give you the desires of your hearts in Jesus name.
May your labours not be in vain over your children in Jesus mighty name.
On the day of the joy of your children, nobody is permitted to take your place.
