In a post on his verified X account on Tuesday, Ahmad expressed that he expected Obi to extend his condolences to the EFCC and Sahabi’s family.

Bashir Ahmad, former Special Assistant on Digital Communication to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, has criticised Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), for not addressing and condemning the killing of EFCC operative Halisu Sahabi during a raid in Awka, Anambra State capital.

In a post on his verified X account on Tuesday, Ahmad expressed that he expected Obi to extend his condolences to the EFCC and Sahabi’s family.

According to him, Obi, in whose state the incident occurred, should have strongly condemned the killing of the EFCC operative.

Ahmad wrote, “I expected Peter Obi to surprise us by extending his condolences to the EFCC and the family of Aminu Sahabi, who was brutally murdered, while carrying out his official duties, by a suspected internet fraudster, Joshua Chukwubueze Ikechukwu.

“I had assumed he would have strongly condemned the brutal killing, especially since the incident occurred in his state, Anambra.”
