Reports surfaced indicating that EFCC operatives conducted an investigation into the forex transactions of BUA Cement, prompting a visit to the company’s office
This development followed a similar raid on the headquarters of Dangote Group of Companies by the anti-graft operatives in Lagos State.

As per the reports, EFCC personnel reportedly descended on BUA Towers, situated at PC 32, Churchgate Street, Victoria Island, Lagos State, at around 3 pm on Thursday, initiating a search.

However, in a statement released on Thursday via its social media platforms, BUA management refuted the claims of a raid on its headquarters, deeming them false and misleading.

The company urged the public to dismiss the rumors circulated by certain online publications and through WhatsApp broadcasts.

The statement emphasized, “BUA wishes to clarify that its premises were not visited by EFCC today, Thursday, January 4, 2024, neither was it raided, as has been alleged in some online publications and being shared via WhatsApp broadcasts. The general public is hereby advised.
