Brilliant Nigerian man bags 4.81/5.00 First-Class degree in Law, wins best student award
A brilliant Nigerian man named Abdulrasheed Olurombi has graduated with a Law degree, achieving a first-class grade of 4.81 out of 5.00 from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Southwest Nigeria. He was also awarded the best-graduating student in his faculty for the 2023/2024 session.
Abdulrasheed’s remarkable cumulative grade point average of 4.81 not only earned him the best-graduating student title but also made history in the university’s Law Faculty.
He shared his achievement on LinkedIn, noting that he scored the second highest grade point average in the 40-year existence of the Faculty of Law at Olabisi Onabanjo University. Abdulrasheed attributed this feat to hard work, determination, and perseverance.
Throughout his academic journey, Abdulrasheed maintained a first-class grade point average in all ten semesters and achieved a perfect 5.00 GPA four times.
He also received awards for being the best student in Commercial Law, Equity, and Trusts, as well as in the Nigerian Legal System and Legal Research.
He expressed gratitude for maximizing his academic experience, serving in various leadership roles, and participating in extracurricular activities, particularly moot court competitions.
Abdulrasheed said his active participation earned him the Best Student Advocate and the Head of the most outstanding Chambers in the Faculty alongside his best student award.
Abdulrasheed thanked God for guiding him through his academic journey and helping him reach this significant milestone. He started his studies at the university’s Faculty of Law in 2019 straight from high school, where many believed that earning a first-class degree was impossible, but he proved otherwise.
He extended his gratitude to those who inspired him to believe that academic excellence is achievable through their examples.
As he prepares to enter the final phase of his legal education at the Nigerian Law School, Abdulrasheed looks forward to exploring opportunities such as graduate trainee and internship roles to broaden his legal knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the practice of law.
