Back are the days when ivo was filled with insecurity of lives and properties – secret behind Ajah Emmanuel peaceful Ivo council revealed
As divergent reality as it could be, when many are absolutely stagnated and caged in rampaging security threat, some were joyfully cashing out from the dreadful challenges in same habitation while working as spies and agents to this criminals that position their coven of highway killers, kidnappers in the farm settings, ripping the hard earned money of our people, raping our women and different heinous act due to unconcerned nature of the security operatives.
It still registered in the memories of ivo people how kidnappers are freely following their barbaric routine tasks of entering our individual homes to whisk their targets in several occasions specially in Ishiagu community while some aggrieved members of Eastern Security Network (ESN) otherwise known as IPOB were terrorising Akaeze Community, killing our people, causing excessive panic and damages and chasing many of the wealthy men out of their town, last of it kind was the kidnapping of the wife of Hon. Emmanuel (Emma nne kilo), the PDP Local government campaign coordinator of 2023 General election, and some others who they tick their names as target.
The council was somewhat in tension, businesses diminished, going to ordinary farm became herculean tasks, passing through Ishiagu-Agwu junction precisely(Ojukwu Bustop) became heartbreaking odds decisions, it was typically “O LORD UNTO YOU I COMMIT MY SPIRIT” decisions. All corners around the council became Danger Zone to access.
Graciously, God intervened through the coming on board of Hon. Chief Ajah Emmanuel Ogbonna (Confirm) as the Council chairman of Ivo local government through divine arrangement, a very dedicated young youth, who set policies of “WALKING THE TALK” as the philosophy of his administration. Boom things began working again, concentration on security became utmost priority and the resultant effect became from one encomium to another, from one recognition to another after due appraisals from different bodies, (Vanguard Of Peace and Conflict Resolution, Peace setter of the year etc)
