Austin Emmanuel Opens Up on Rift with Itele: ‘He Probably Thinks I Am Dead’
Popular Nollywood actor Austin Emmanuel has finally broken his silence on his strained relationship with his former close friend and fellow actor, Ibrahim Yekini, popularly known as Itele. In a candid interview on Debbie Show, Emmanuel revealed that the two are no longer on speaking terms and suggested that Itele may have completely disregarded his existence.
Emmanuel, who spoke emotionally yet sarcastically, stated that he never wronged Itele nor did he take his wife, yet their friendship seems to have completely collapsed. He insinuated that his former friend had cut ties with him without any clear reason, failing to check up on him or acknowledge his efforts to reconnect.
“I never snatched Itele’s wife, I didn’t kill his child, but I believe he thought I was dead. It’s been long since he saw me, and he did not bother to look for me. His actions towards me show that he wants me to know that he is having issues with me,” Emmanuel expressed.
The actor further revealed that despite celebrating Itele on his birthday through social media, he never received any acknowledgment in return. This lack of reciprocity, according to him, is a clear indication that Itele harbors resentment against him.
“If I die today, I’m sure Itele will post about me, but he never celebrates me on my birthday,” he added, emphasizing the depth of their fallout.
The revelation has since sparked reactions from fans and industry stakeholders, with many questioning what could have gone wrong between the two former friends. While Itele has yet to publicly respond to the claims, the Nollywood community is abuzz with speculation.
As the drama unfolds, fans are eager to see whether this rift will ever be mended or if it marks the end of a once-thriving friendship.
