*Appeals to Government to meet Asuu’s demand to end strike.*

 

An Abuja based cleric and the founder of God’s Divine Answers Ministry located in Apo Resettlement Abuja, Prophetess Nkeiru Ihezuo (Mummy Apo) has appealed to the Federal Government to meet the demands of lecturers (Asuu) in the nation’s citadel of learning and end the perennial University strike which has inadvertently become a part of the “curriculum” which Nigerian undergraduates are made to undertake.

 

She made this appeal while speaking to StandOut Africa Media after the presentation of #500,000.00 in cash for the educational support of an undergraduate and faithful member of God’s Divine Answers Ministry.

 

*In her words, “Every mother in Nigeria should be worried over the incessant strike action occasioned by the inability of the federal government to meet the demands of Asuu.*

*”The mass exodus of Nigerian Students to other countries including the war town Ukraine is not unconnected to the incessant Asuu strike and the failing standard of our Nation’s Educational Institution.*

*”Today, The ongoing Russia and Ukraine war has furher exposed the lives of Nigerians Students who had thought of escaping the incessant Asuu Strike back home to danger.*

 

*”A Nation which spends trillions of Naira in payment of Petroleum subsidy which eventually ends up in private pocket have no excuse not to invest in its educational sector.*

 

*”A Nation where it’s elected public officers earn more money than it’s academia, A nation with misplaced priority which has continued to borrow money to fund it’s budget has no excuse for not investing in its tertiary Institutions which should be the centers of research and problem solving for the nation’s challenges.*

*”The continuous staying at home of Nigerian Students will expose some of them into engaging in cyber crime which has become the other of the day.*

*”I am appealing to the federal government to meet the demands of Asuu for our children to return back to school and graduate in record time”.*

She assured that she would continue to support the aspiration Nigerian students in their pursuit of higher education in Nigeria and beyond.
