APC Expels Suspended State Chairman, 8 Others For ‘Gross Misconduct’

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Enugu State Chapter has expelled Ugochukwu Agballah, the suspended state chairman, and other self-acclaimed executive members for gross misconduct.
The expulsion was announced in a statement signed by Hon. Alphonsus Onyeachonam Nwafor, the acting state chairman, and High Chief Charles-Solo Akor, the state publicity secretary.
“The leadership of APC Enugu State Chapter do hereby officially expel Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Augustine Alumona, Jude Chinedu Aniogbo, Moses Emeka Eze, Sunday Ugwoke, Ugwu Christian Kanayo, Eze Chidiebere Johnson, Queen Charles, and Onyekachi T. Ezeagu from APC Enugu State Chapter,” the statement read by Akor after the state executive meeting indicated.
According to the statement, Agballa and other expelled members have consistently disobeyed court orders restraining them from parading themselves as executive members of the party.
“They have been flagrantly disobeying the order of the High Court restraining them from arranging, organizing, and holding any meetings as leadership of APC State Executive Committee (SEC) Enugu State Chapter,” the statement noted.
The statement also alleged that Agballa and his cohorts had been involved in various activities that undermined the party’s constitution, values, and principles, including the arrest and intimidation of party members who identified with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“This decision reflects our firm stance on accountability and ethical governance. The integrity of our Party is non-negotiable. We will not allow individuals who undermine our mission and principles to remain within our ranks,” it noted.
The APC Enugu State Chapter has assured its members and stakeholders of its commitment to repositioning the party and upholding its constitution and values.
Efforts by SaharaReporters to reach Agballa were unsuccessful, as he did not answer his calls or respond to a text message requesting his comment at the time of filing this report.
