Edo APC calls for Sack of Commissioner of Police.
The Edo State All Progressives Congress Campaign Council of Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa in the September 21 Governorship election has called for the sack of the Edo State Police Commissioner for allegedly compromising the security situation in the state.
The Media Director of the APC Campaign Council, Prince Kasim Afegbua made this known at a press briefing in Benin City, the Edo State capital.
The Media director alleged that the state Commissioner of police, CP Funsho Adegboye watched helplessly while thugs allegedly loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Edo State unleashed mayhem on the good people of Edo state.
He called on the Inspector General of Police and other relevant security agencies to immediately commence investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sporadic shooting which led to the death of a police inspector with several persons injured.
On his part, the State Commissioner of police, CP Funsho Adegboye denied the allegations, saying he was not at the airport when the incident happened.
