☆☆☆ I want us to take a closer look at today’s verse of the bible:
☆☆☆ I pray that the Holy Spirit will minister to every reader in Jesus name.
☆☆☆ Let us divide this verse into two parts and compare 👇

“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty”.
“And he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city”.

☆☆☆ The man who is slow to anger can be said to have self control.
☆☆☆ “He that ruleth his spirit” is equally a man who has self control.
☆☆☆ In other words, both statements mean the same.
☆☆☆ When a man has self control, he can defeat the mighty.
☆☆☆ The man who can equally rule over his spirit is a mighty man.

☆☆☆ Let us now relate this two statements with “anger”.
☆☆☆ The man who rules his spirit is the man who can control his anger.
☆☆☆ Our main bible verse for today is simply saying therefore that the man who can control his anger is stronger than the man considered as the mighty.

■■■ Hear these two stories to substantiate the main issue for today, “anger”👇

1. ☆☆☆ Two people were engaged in a very hot argument that resulted into a fight. The man who everybody believed was stronger, felt insulted that “this little thing”, (pointing to his opponent); was challenging him to a fight. Out of anger, he charged at his opponent with a terrific punch. His opponent, being very calm, saw the punch coming and dodged. The “mighty man” lost his balance and his opponent carried him high up and landed him on the ground. Everybody around hailed “this little thing” and shame overwhelmed the “mighty man”.

2. ☆☆☆ The second story is this: A couple came back from work, both tired and hungry. The wife went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. The husband, who was reading newspapers in the living room, became so impatient that the food was getting late. Out of anger, he challenged his wife for taking too long to prepare the dinner. His wife too was angry that her husband didn’t appreciate her effort. The man didn’t like the response of his wife. Now so furious, he rushed to the kitchen, attempting to slap his wife. The woman, in self defence, lifted up the frying pan containing hot oil, intending to splash it on her husband. Regrettably, the hot oil poured on their eight month old baby, who had just crawled to the kitchen. The baby suffered first degree burns and died. Due to anger, they both lost a child they had waited ten years to get.

Beloved, the bible warns 👇

“Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools” – Ecclesiastes 7:9.

☆☆☆ Anyone who cannot control his anger is a fool.
☆☆☆ The man who acts in anger can destroy all he has laboured for in life.
☆☆☆ Anger is a spirit and a powerful tool in the hands of the devil to destroy.
☆☆☆ Anger is a destroyer and a finisher of its victims.
☆☆☆ Anger hangs it’s victims and later makes a mockery of them.
