In fair politics, what sells a candidate of any political party is not necessarily how popular the party is, but how popular and powerful the party’s choice of candidate is.
More often than not, there are strong parties which have good and formidable structures, hence a weak candidate may affect their victory at elections. Good characteristic markets a political politician. And Senator Andy Uba has the charismatic ingenuity to govern Anambra State. He is a known philanthropist and a fair business mogul who fears God and believes in humanity.
In essence, Anambra, being an economically viable and popular state which is located in South East, has over 11 million residents. One of the things that makes Anambra unique is its Onitsha Main Market which harbours over 11 million traders and buyers.
This market and others have contribute greatly to the revenue generation of the state, and have also helped in the creation of job opportunities for both indigenes of the state and non- indigenes.
Historically, Anambra State is the home of Nri, the Ancestral Origin of Ndigbo. It produced some of the most popular Igbo figures, including late Nnamdi Azikiwe, late Odumegwu Ojukwu and literary scholar, late Chinua Achebe. Politically, Anambra is the only state in the federation to have a female governor and has not been governed by the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Between 1999 and 2007, five governors had ruled Anambra State, at a time when Nigeria only elected two Presidents. It had 4 different governors between 2003 and 2007 alone; one of whom was impeached with another allegedly kidnapped while in office due to god – fatherism effect.
Let us not forget in a hurry that Anambra State is also the Ancestral Home of Biafra and has remained a major state clamouring for the actualization of Biafra- a home of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Having taking you to this journey in preparation of your heart for the piece, it is pertinent to note here that with Senator Andy Uba as the Governor of Anambra State (after the November 2021 elections) Anambra will not only witness a rapid transformation, but will also enjoy federal might in the state just like Imo State.
Notably, Emmanuel Nnamdi Uba (Andy Uba), was born on the 14th December 1958. He is a fair and practical politician who was elected Senator for the Anambra South Senatorial District of Anambra State in April 2011, under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
While at the Red Chamber of the Senate, Uba represented his people well especially through his superlative empowerment programs that empowered both males and females of his constituency. His giant strides brought many investors to invest in Anambra State which contributed to the massive development of the state.
Today, you cannot talk about Anambra politics without making reference to Uba’s yester years achievements.
Just like a wrist watch on the hand that needs no mirror to check time, this great son of Anambra State thought it wise to join All Progressive Congress and as God may have it he is flying the governorship flag of the APC in the 2021 election.
It is on record that in 2011, Andy Uba under the platform of PDP (owing to the massive support given to him by his people) defeated Chukwmaeze Nzeribe of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and the incumbent Senator, Ikechukwu Obiorah, of Accord Party to be elected as Senator for Anambra South Senatorial Zone.
Therefore, the good people of Anambra State, please, make no grave mistake in the forthcoming governorship election by not voting him. Vote for him. He will consolidate good governance and actual democracy.
Because a vote for Senator Andy Uba is a vote for transformation, comfort, development, prompt payment of workers salaries, more construction of good roads and above all it is going to be a government of the people, hence it will be for the betterment of all citizens including law- abiding non- indigenes. Uba is a good man.
