African Union Agenda 2063 Ambassador and Country Director, African Ambassadors Network Forum Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu Esq has felicitated with His Excellency Amb. Elijah Onyeagba PhD, Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Burundi and the Head of Nigeria Mission to Burundi on his winning the 2022 “Africa Most Friendly
Housing Diplomat Award”.

Speaking to Newsmen in Abuja at the International Conference Center, Amb. Timothy Nwachukwu Esq described the Award as well deserved noting that His Excellency Amb. Elijah Onyeagba PhD has distinguished himself as one of the most outstanding Nigerian Diplomat who has engraved his name with sterling performance and landmark achievements in East Africa and back home Nigerian.

 

Amb. Onyeagba PhD emerged the winner of the Award after a rigorous processes of evaluation which saw him soar above 53 Countries High Commissioners and Ambassadors across West Africa, East Africa, Central and Southern Africa to emerge the African Diplomat of the year in the housing industry.

His Excellency Amb. Elijah Onyeagba PhD, an Economist by training with an MBA in Finance, is an Alumnus of the International Housing Finance Program and Securitization of the Wharton Business School in Pennsylvania USA. He has also bagged certificates from Harvard Business School USA, Saïd Business School Oxford UK and INSEAD Business School, France.

He was the Chairman and Founder of Countrywide Housing Company (CHC) – a company
which developed 676 affordable housing units in Muhammad Sanusi Estate, Darmanawa, Kano with an unwavering commitment to developing affordable housing units in Nigeria while creating value within the housing ecosystem.

 

He was the Group Head (AGM) in charge of Real Estate Transactions in ASO Savings & Loans Plc; Nigeria’s largest originator of over seventeen thousand mortgage assets under the sale of a Federal Government Housing scheme. He had the additional responsibility of developing affordable housing in Nigeria as well as
overseeing the company business concerns within the Federal Capital Territory, North and the Southern Regions of Nigeria.
