Accident claims two lives in Ondo, Governor Aiyedatiwa Aide,Prince Adebawo Visits scene to commiserate, condemns reckless driving on highways
Tragedy struck on the Akure-Ondo road, beside Best Solution Polytechnic in Owena, Ondo State, when a Toyota car collided with a bicycle, resulting in the loss of two lives. The victims were students of Federal Polytechnic, Ile Oluji, Oke-Igbo.
Responding swiftly to the incident, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency Response, Prince Oriade Wellington Adebawo , arrived at the scene within five minutes. He commiserated with the families of the victims and condemned the reckless driving that led to the accident. He warned drivers against overspeeding and emphasized the importance of exercising caution on the roads.
The Special Assistant ensured the prompt evacuation of the victims’ bodies to the morgue of Ondo State Specialist Hospital, Akure.
In a statement, he stressed the need for drivers to be more vigilant and take necessary safety precautions to prevent such avoidable accidents.
