The appointees of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma from Aboh Mbaise extraction today, Sunday 16, July, 2023 met at the instance of the Hon. Commissioner for Homeland Security and Vigilantee Affairs Hon. Dr. Ugorji O. Ugorji being the highest ranking political appointee of the governor from Aboh Mbaise LGA, to deliberate on this year’s Iri Ji Mbaise 2023 cultural festival which Aboh Mbaise has the hosting rights for this year’s event and also looked at the issues surrendering the planning and execution of the foremost Mbaise cultural event.

As aides in the 3R Shared Prosperity Government of Imo State, speaker after speaker who commented were of the unanimous decision that we desire and are committed to having a unified central Iriji Mbaise 2023, and we have unanimously resolved and adopted as follows:

  1. That the central Iriji Mbaise 2023 ceremony shall be held on August 15th, 2023 as customary.

  2. That since Aboh Mbaise LGA is the host of the 2023 offering of Iriji Mbaise, the central ceremony must be held at a venue that is located on Aboh Mbaise soil.

  3. That the traditional rites of the central ceremony shall be handled or carried out by Nde Eze Mbaise and Nde Ezeji of Mbaise as they see fit, which is not in contention whatsoever.

  4. That in light of the fact that Aboh Mbaise is the host, The Chairman of the Central Planning Committee shall be from Aboh Mbaise. Other committee chairpersons and members of the committees should be drawn from Aboh Mbaise, Ahiazu Mbaise, and Ezinihite Mbaise.

  5. That in light of the fact that Aboh Mbaise is the host, The Chairman of the Occasion shall also be an Aboh Mbaise son.

  6. That in light of the fact that Aboh Mbaise is the host, The Chief Host of 2023 offering of Iriji Mbaise shall be the Chairman of the Aboh Mbaise Council of Traditional Rulers, HRH Eze MJD Nwaturuocha.

  7. That it is desirable that the sociocultural group known as Oluoha Mbaise Assembly plan and execute the program of 2023 offering of Iriji Mbaise, with the participation of the sociocultural group known as Ezuruezu Mbaise.

  8. That H.E. Governor Hope Uzodimma should only attend as Special Guest of Honour to the central ceremony if there are guarantees of a friendly, respectful environment that is befitting of the office of the governor.

  9. That following the security report from the Commissioner for Homeland Security, as well as for mbaise-wide strategic purposes, Mbaise Secondary School grounds is recommended as the preferred site of the 2023 Iriji Mbaise.

  10. That in light of the historic fact that the LGA Council has never been “in charge” of Iriji Mbaise in Aboh Mbaise, the appointees demand that the current SOLAD of Aboh Mbaise, Barrister Ogechi Njoku-Ehirim, should collapse whatever structure she has regarding Iriji Mbaise 2023 into the structure already established by Oluoha Mbaise Assembly as co-planners.

  11. That as the highest ranking member of the Executive Branch of the Imo State Government among the Aboh Mbaise appointees who are currently in Nigeria, Dr. Ugorji Okechukwu Ugorji, Commissioner for Homeland Security and Vigilante Affairs, shall be the Liaison between the Imo State Government and Planners of the Central Iriji Mbaise 2023. He is also trusted by the appointees to serve as the accountable signatory from Aboh Mbaise to the Central Planning Fund Account, with two additional signatories, one each from Ezinihite and Ahiazu.

  12. That Dr. Ugorji should communicate the resolutions so reached to all concerned parties, including the three Commissioners and the three SOLADS of the Mbaise Nation.

  13. This resolutions was adopted and signed by:

a. Dr. Ugorji O. Ugorji — Hon. Commissioner for Homeland Security and Vigilante Affairs.
b. Amaechi Samuel (Bubu) —SA Alvan.
c. Nze Milo Olewuike — SA Project Monitoring.
d. Chief Alan B. Onyemaechi — SA Health Insurance.
e. Ambrose Nwaogwugwu — GLO State Media Officer.
f. Hon. Olivtan Tanana Biaduo — SA Water Resources.
g. Ewulonu Chigozie — SA Govt. Press.
h. Chief Kenneth Iheonunaekwu — SA ease of doing Business.
