The State Coordinator, Mr Jingi Denis, yesterday sworn in the newly posted batch C stream 1 Corps Members, who was deployed to Abia state on their mandatory one year service.
Representing the Director General of NYSC BRIGADIER GENERAL S IBRAHIM, the Abia state coordinator Mr Mr Jingi Denis, expressed his joy over the successful completion of their academic programmes, and subsequent mobilization for the National Service.
According to him, this Orientation Course will prepare the Corps Members physically and mentally for expected contributions to the progress and development of Nigeria their fatherland. In addition, it will equip you for the realization of your potentials and attainment of individual feats both within the period of service and beyond.
Highlights of the camp activities will include lessons on the four Cardinal Programmes of the NYSC, leadership coaching, paramilitary drills and other physical trainings as well as sensitization on topical national issues, amongst others. This corps members are expected to avail themselves of this unique opportunity by participating actively in all the aforementioned programmes.
He further seized the opportunity, to advised them to make use of the opportunity and Contribute meaningful to their place of primary assignment.
“My dear compatriots, today, you have taken the solemn oath to dedicate yourselves to the service of our fatherland. I enjoin you to always ponder over the significance of the oath and be guided by its spirit and letters. In the same vein, I advise you to familiarize yourselves with the content of both the NYSC Act and the NYSC Bye-Laws. While commending you for having conducted yourselves well so far, I encourage you to continue to demonstrate high level of discipline and enthusiasm throughout the exercise. Let me also remind you that the regimented nature of the Camp is intended to further instill discipline and build your resilience. You are expected to comply strictly with the set rules and regulations and be obedient to your course officials” He said.

Resident Officer 1, Mrs Ezenwaka Chioma, the representative of the NYSC Area Director, Mr Monday Osamogie amongst others.
